In the year 2012 the start up Seesailing Srl has started to develop a new way of visualizing sail boats training and racing on mobile device.
I have designed the user interface for the iPad prototype and I have been working closely with the team of Algorithmica that has transformed my vision into a working app.
We to solve many interface challenges. The biggest was the display of numerous boats at the same time keeping a level of detail high enough to allow the user to follow the favourite competitor.
We have found a solution in increasing the number of details with the pinch/zoom. In this way you can follow the overall movement of the boats and if you need details you can just pinch and zoom.
